Situated down a narrow lane in one of Paxos' lesser known little villages, "The Olive Press" is one of those hidden charms, providing comfortable and traditional accommodation within easy walking distance of the main town. With original exposed Paxos stone & flagstone flooring throughout, the Olive Press is a unique property that is complimented with an attention to detail with its contemporary touches to provide a truly memorable stay.

Once a working village olive press, this property has been painstakingly restored back to its former glory  retaining in the process many of the original materials and features. The result is a truly charming property where one can pass away the hours reading, cooking and entertaining or simply make use of the open plan space to enjoy a lazy Paxos afternoon. You will hardly notice you are situated just a 15 minute walk from the main town as the only interruptions are the occasional stray chicken or neighbourhood donkey.

The Olive Press is ideally located, equidistant between the town of Gaios and the hidden away coves of Paxos's West Coast. A short walk down an old donkey track and you will discover the secret bays of Avlaki and Bougazi where you can enjoy swimming and snorkelling in the crystal clear azure waters. After a day of walking and exploring you can find two of the best traditional tavernas on the island just a short walk from the property. Here you will be able to enjoy wonderful home cooked Greek food and of course sample some of the famous Paxiot hospitality!

The building itself consists of a large open plan living/dining and well equipped kitchen area, with beautiful vaulted ceilings and traditional archway leading to a double bedroom and en-suite shower room. At the rear of the property is a cosy walled courtyard for early morning breakfast, sunny afternoons and Al fresco dinners. Should you want to take refuge from the warm Paxos afternoon, a short walk will take you to the Paxos Club Hotel where  you can make use of the facilities and pool. at the Paxos Club hotel which is also within walking distance which welcomes non residents for a swim or a pre dinner cocktail at their poolside bar.

Please note the Olive Press is a separate property to the guesthouse and we only allow the facilities of the guesthouse if both properties are booked together.

Absolutely Wonderful!

Carl and I stayed in The Olive Press, it was amazing and just perfect, everything we could wish for and the way it was just so tastefully decorated, made it very special. From the welcome pack to the bedding and the little extra's that I know are clearly down to Pam, who has just the most exquisite taste

Perfect Paxos!

Excellent accommodation with superb customer service! We would highly recommend the Vellianitatika Retreat or the equally superb Olive Press for couples and will definitely be back in the future...and have already pre booked.
