About Paxos

Paxos, the smallest Ionian island consisting of just three main villages, 5 taxi drivers and 64 churches is situated seven nautical miles off the southern tip of Corfu. Greek mythology says that the Greek god of the sea, Poseidon struck the southern tip of Corfu, breaking a piece off to create Paxos, where he would keep his lover Amphitriti.

Having no airport of its own, Paxos has managed to escape the strains of mainstream tourism & remains the undiscovered gem that it is today.

With aquamarine coves of small white pebbly beaches, it's a must on your itinerary to take out a small rental boat & discover the many deserted coves which are dotted around Paxos' stunning coastline. Caiques depart hourly from Gaios harbour front for the pretty islet of Antipaxos with its white sand beaches, the more curious amongst those who visit & venture inland are rewarded with winding donkey tracks leading up to sleepy hamlets & rare flora & fauna.

Paxos has no airport, so arrival airport is generally Corfu with Easy Jet & many other charter airlines. A short taxi ride to the port of Corfu Town & then a 1hr hydrofoil or private sea taxi down to Paxos.

For those with a hectic lifestyle, we are able to refer you to a Paxos Concierge service who will assist you with flights & transfers to & from Greece to make life a little easier..

In order to see the true beauty of the island, car hire is strongly recommended. We can assist with car hire prior to your arrival. Open top Jeeps also available
